Will Consolidating My Student Loans Help My Credit Score?

I had 6 student loans equaling a total of $ 20,000 from 2 different companies. My mistake was I did not put them into forebarence time I was late by about 2 months. One of the companies, it wiped my credit, others have shown that I had been late. I decided to consolidate my loans to the company, it wiped my credit. My question is will this help, because my credit with the company that the delay in payment of loans have been paid and the other i have been aware of all my payments? Thank you for help.
